Nothing should stop you from having the best possible home. Engineered hardwood delivers the benefits of a real timber floor in a more convenient package. Engineered hardwood is available in a wide variety of species, sizes and gloss levels. There is a particularly wide range of the popular Australian timbers with clear coatings but stained hardwood and imported species are also available. Regarding installation, most engineered floorboards are quite versatile and can either be floated over the subfloor (on a suitable underlay) or direct fixed with glue. Laminate Floors
Stylish flooring that can withstand life’s abuses. Laminates offer superior scratch resistance and affordability with realistic decors. Laminates consist of an imitation digital timber print impregnated with a resilient melamine resin coating over a HDF base. The melamine gives the highest scratch resistance of any floorboard type and can be manufactured with realistic timber textures. Laminate is also quite affordable compared to other flooring types. Unfortunately, the market is flooded with cheap and nasty laminates that race to the bottom of price and quality. These inferior quality laminates usually fall apart within a few years. We only use good quality laminates from manufacturers that we have been working with for many years. Some of our brands are so robust that they are suitable for withstanding super high traffic commercial applications, let alone your house.

Bamboo Floors
An alternative flooring material, Bamboo is very similar to timber and has some properties that make it well suited to flooring. Strand woven Bamboo consists of bamboo strips entwined together under high pressure and heat to form an extremely strong and hard product. Bamboo being a woody plant retains a warm comfortable feel underfoot and the randomness of the strand pattern give quite a natural un-artificial figure. The hardness of Bamboo is comparable to some of the hardest commercial timbers used worldwide. Because of the great strength of Bamboo, extra care is needed during installation to counteract expansion stresses.
